The Group Director, Omni Fraud Operations is responsible for leading the fraud prevention efforts for Walmart eCommerce. The Group Director will be responsible for the creation of strategies for prevention, detection, and mitigation of fraudulent activity across Walmart U.S. This role will require close partnership with multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive the best outcomes for the business.
ResponsibilitiesLead and drive the fraud identification and prevention strategy across Walmart U.S.Identify trends in fraud through existing customer behavior and portfolio analytics.Identify new and emerging risks/ threats and partner with internal (operations, compliance, technology, security) and external stakeholders (associations, payment processors, industry groups) to respond to these threats.Develop and direct the transaction monitoring strategies to identify and prevent fraud, striking the right balance between customer experience and risk management.Lead product management for Walmart U.S. fraud systems, define business vision requirements, prioritization and planning for fraud solutions, partnering with engineering teams across various business lines.Collaborate with various business teams to evaluate risk exposure for new initiatives, products and features.Identify new and emerging technologies (ML, AI, etc.) in fraud prevention, and assess applicability to Walmart U.S.Partner with internal groups to investigate omni digital fraud losses.Own overall fraud loss results for Walmart U.S. and define/recommend overall risk tolerance and appetite for eCommerce leadership team.SkillsStrong leader and strategic analytical thinker who can implement big ideas with a positive attitude.Passion for technical understanding of systems, operations, teamwork, and leadership.Exceptional understanding of the omni fraud environment.Proven ability to anticipate risk within process flows.Strong understanding of retail operations.Exceptional organizational and communication skills.Strong collaborative skills and ability to influence in a matrix environment.Proven track record on building and cultivating strong teams.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent.10+ years of work in related field preferably with a diverse range of risk/fraud experience.Very strong technical understanding and experience with complicated data analysis.Strong quantitative and analytical skills.Experience leading product, technical analytics or operations teams in fraud prevention preferably in the eCommerce industry.Prior experience managing the performance and effectiveness of diverse teams.Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and implement a change management process.Demonstrated experience working under the pressure of deadlines on multiple projects in a fast paced, high volume business environment.
